Sprite is an industrial grade unmanned aerial system, not a consumer camera platform.  Our production runs are relatively small, and once existing inventory is sold out the lead times for subsequent units may be several months.  The expected ship date of the next available Sprite is posted on the ordering page.

Please be sure to add our domain "ascentaerosystems.com" to your spam filter's safe senders list so that we can contact you.  Aside from the information provided on the product page when you order, we are not able to provide a more specific delivery date estimate.  If you have a specific project deadline you need to meet, please contact us before placing your order.  Cancellations can be made at any time before shipping.

Please be sure to order the telemetry frequency that is appropriate for the region in which you intend to fly your Sprite.  We cannot know whether you may want to fly in an area other than where you have it shipped, so we can make no effort to determine whether your selection is correct.

For operations in the United States, typical selections are:

  • Telemetry: 915MHz
  • FPV (optional): 600mW

While it is possible to change the frequencies of the telemetry and video equipment after delivery using simple tools, Ascent cannot accept components for exchange.  Please choose carefully when ordering.

Please also note that like other small unmanned aerial vehicles in this category, a license or registration may be required to operate Sprite in your country.  Rules may vary depending whether the operation is commercial or recreational, and some countries require separate licenses for FPV (first person view)equipment.  Please know the rules in your country before ordering.

Your Sprite is warranted against defects in design and workmanship as follows:

Airframe 12 months
Flight controller, GPS/compass 3 months
First Person View (FPV) equipment 6 months (LCD/receiver only)
Motors & ESCs 3 months
Battery 30 days
Gimbal 6 months

Damage from operation is not covered under warranty.  Certain other exclusions apply, so please be sure to visit our downloads section and understand all of our terms and conditions before ordering.  Some components are not field serviceable so the replacement parts are not available for retail sale.  In they event those parts are damaged, Sprite will need to be returned for evaluation and repair.  We offer a Core Repair Service to cover most of those situations.

All Sprites are test flown before they are shipped.  Refunds are only provided on products that are returned in new, unopened condition with all seals intact.  Once your Sprite has been opened, a 35% restocking fee will be charged on it and on all opened accessories.  Returns for refund are not accepted after Sprite has been powered on.

To arrange for a return, please send us an email at support@ascentaerosystems.com and provide your order number.

Use of Data

Sprite's autopilot captures a significant amount of data, including the vehicle's latitude and longitude, the date and the time.  This information is captured continuously throughout each flight.  Ascent AeroSystems does not routinely analyze flight data from any identifiable Sprite, but we may require access to flight log information to determine warranty coverage.
